Where Food Means Business!

New York’s food scene is more than just iconic — it’s a dynamic, ever-evolving industry powered by passion, innovation, and diversity. From corner delis to high-end kitchens, food businesses shape the city’s identity and economy.

Behind the flavors is a network of professionals, each playing a role in what makes this city taste like no other. That’s where the New York Food Business Association comes in.

We are a not-for-profit organization serving the New York City food business community. Our purpose is to foster growth, collaboration, and voluntary excellence among local businesses.

We operate independently and reinvest all resources into initiatives and projects that benefit our members and the broader community.

At NYFBA, fresh thinking fuels every new opportunity. We’re here to spark, share, and support the ideas that shape tomorrow’s food world!

Together, we create opportunities, share knowledge, and build lasting partnerships. The Food Business Association is where connections turn into collaboration — and ideas into action.

We keep things simple, honest, and reliable — so our members can focus on what they do best. With New York Food Business Association, support feels seamless!

Our Current Focus

Our current focus is centered on foundational areas that support professional growth and responsible practice. These include ongoing work through our Research Lab, selected resources, and our Voluntary Implementation Program (VIP), all aimed at encouraging continuous improvement across the industry.

We conduct ongoing internal research into key areas affecting the food industry, focusing on issues that require both long-term attention and practical insight.
